I have this, the Neo and Mini 4 Pro. This one is good for anything pre-evening or post dawn. It struggles in low light, but extremely serviceable during the day where there is sunlight.
I'd say it's great btw. This or I should say the Mini 2 was my first drone.

what about flying? is it easy? i bought a cheap $50 drone from Costco and it would crash when there was a slight bridge 😔
I just got the $250 deal delivered yesterday and out for my first flight this morning. First thing I did was fly around my roof to check my gutters. I was never able to accomplish that with the cheap drones. i always ended up with some wind causing instability and ended up in the trees or crashed. With this - no problem at all and with about a 10mi breeze I wouldn't have attempted to fly my cheap drone in at all. I flew my gutters, then headed out over the fields for a long distance, and all around. I flew mostly from watching my phone screen. It was great and so much easier than anything I'd ever flown before. I had it out a long ways when I told it to return to home. It's set to go up to 300ft before it returns (I think that's adjustable), I guess to miss obstacles, so it headed back and at some point it sent me an alert that it was struggling with high winds and needed manual control. That was super easy too. I just brought it back near where I wanted it to land and then told it to land. Now I wish I had more than one battery and I'm not finding it easy to get one. DJI is out and Amazon is out of official batteries. This deal with more batteries is probably better if you want to fly a lot.
Since this is below 249g, has anyone had to register their drone in their local area due to regulations?I'm reading 250g and above will have to be registered.
Anyone concerned about the negative reviews?? Also, I have read repeatedly that this is NOT a 4, but a rebranded (w/ a sticker) 2 SE...still worth it????
Wow, this is what I bought my Mini 3 for over 2 years ago, and it also included a case and ND filters. This is an older model, for that same price. Not a deal IMO, but there are worse ways you could spend the money.
Well, there is this economic concept called "inflation", and a related concept called "shrinkflation"….
Lots of new, used and refurbished batteries on eBay. Just make sure you buy from a reputable seller and check the battery cycle count before buying (lower count = better)
4 pro, has better camera, follow feature, works with dji virtual goggles, has sensors for collision avoidance.
I've been lingering on buying a drone primarily to look at our house roof and finally concluded this past week the mini 4 pro was my best overall bet plus good enough for other general uses (specifically my six year old son piloting would absolutely require the collision avoidance). Rest of the story short, I am waiting until maybe September for them to be back in stock or August 7 when* the mini 5 pro is announced/released.

You're gonna let your 5 yo fly a $700+ done? Get a $50 cheapie.

I'm reading I have to get RID even though it's under 250g? Because they changed the rules or something in March?

Only for commercial use, in that case you would also need a part 107 license.
I've notice this seller change their store name to something else multiple of times anyone got their drone?
ETA for mine (fly more combo), bought on Aug. 1st, was Aug. 12th-19th. Listing says ships from Amazon so at least they are in the shipping loop so should be an easy refund, I would expect, in case it doesn't ship....at least that was my rationale.
