FYI it's the latest model for about 3 more weeks. The 4 is coming out later this month.
Yep and google need to do better job if they need to take away apple watch user. $400 for pixel watch does a lot less than $250 watch last generation apple watch.

I prefer the software on the Pixel watch. The Quantified Scientist on YouTube rans a bunch of health related tests and it's performance is comparable to Apple Watch for fitness tracking. I hope Google comes up with a more premium option myself.

If I buy through Amazon, do I get 6 months of Fitbit Premium like I would if I bought it through Google Store? Product listing doesn't mention that. It's the same price on Google Store, BTW and includes free shipping.
Have been using the pixel 3 41mm for about 8months now. (Google Fi gave them away for free after ~2yrs of monthly partial rebates). Summary: it's ok, I still use it.
Charge lasts exactly one day, so plan to leave it behind if you're backpacking etc. Charges up quickly enough but its a mildly annoying daily activity after a while. It tracks HR well if you wear it TIGHT. It can't share HR data with anything else (eg Garmin bike head unit ). GPS for fitness tracking is good if not great. It's good for tracking the basics of runs/walks. It's convenient for setting timers or adding things to your shopping list via voice command.
Unfortunately it's exercise functionality is all tied to Fitbit (hot garbage)(ymmv re fitbit, do some research to compare Fitbit vs Garmin for your own use case).

The thing I hate about the one day charge is why even have sleep tracking? When am I supposed to charge my watch? The 20 minutes I'm in the shower?
My PW2 screen just started glitching and I'm in the market for a replacement. Why? Because you can't replace the screen of the Pixel watches. If it dies or farks up out of warranty then you are SOL. If you get this Pixel watch or the 4 make sure you include insurance costs for the lifetime of it.

that's the problem with all smart watches.. watches were keepsakes...now they are merely $400 disposable items after 2 or 3 years. so much electronic waste is breathtaking... from the $5 Ali specials to the $1000 flagship phones... some are more egregious, especially the 'wearables'. At least computer/phones are true tools and productivity machines - can't say the same for 99% wearables

What does it do less?
