While I am disappointed in the cpu I just couldn't pass this up. Here are a couple of deals that popped up recently that are comparable but also had issues:

https://slickdeals.net/f/18433702-15-6-msi-thin-laptop-144hz-1080p-ryzen-5-7535hs-rtx-4060-16gb-ram-512gb-ssd-2025-649-free-shipping

Reading the thread this laptop was severely underpowered.

https://slickdeals.net/f/18479773-lenovo-loq-15-6-fhd-144hz-i5-13450hx-rtx-4060-16gb-ddr5-512gb-ssd-699-99

This was a great deal with a better cpu but +$50 and Lenovo.

https://slickdeals.net/f/18457579-hp-victus-15-6-fhd-144hz-i5-13420h-rtx-3050-6gb-8gb-ddr4-512gb-ssd-499-99

The cheapest gaming laptop available but with obvious compromises.

Overall this is a great deal. I've had good experiences with Asus and the 4060 is definitely a step up. The cpu while slightly inferior is still a solid chip.

Yes and two RAM slots as well. It also has a MUX switch for the video output, which is awesome at this price point. Wish it had a better CPU, but otherwise an amazing deal.

Quote from Hipster2010 :
Did it end up arriving? See the same "Unable to locate" message on my tracking
Staples reached out the day after it was supposed to arrive (the 6th) to ask if it had. I replied simply, "No it has not been delivered." and they emailed me a new tracking number and it showed up on Friday the 8th, though the original order shows 2 laptops with one delivered and one awaiting tracking info.

Tried ordering this weeks ago for store pick up but it got cancelled twice, probably did not have stock. Finally ordered again when it was available for shipping but order was cancelled a day later. Called Staples support to find out what happened but they refused to clarify, said I could only buy in store. Not ordering from them again

Just hope this one doesn't have random BSODs and restarts like the A16. I like using it but if I don't shut it down every day it acts up and is really annoying. Thinking of selling it since my past Dell and HP laptops didn't behave like this. I'm not particularly inclined towards American brands but they do produce more stable laptops...

Deal looks great, but after past experience with ASUS, I don't think I'd ever touch one of their products again. Bought a ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 GX550 15.6" a few years back and it is, and probably always will be, the most expensive trash I've ever bought. Not sure if I somehow ended up with one of their worst built products ever or what happened, but the laptop I replaced it with is still more reliable and functional. I'm lucky if I can use it to browse the internet without crashing, likelihood you can make it through playing an actual game is about 0. Well documented issues with that laptop and the horrific support ASUS provides. Just more or less an FYI that just because it's got the big name, doesn't mean the product or service is going to follow.

I had bought this last year for my daughter for college because of the price and meeting the spec requirements for the engineering dept. but she hated it.

It had some goofy problems with their installed software and the schools network but the touchpad went out on it after 2 and half months. The other problems for her were that it's heavy, has a large power supply brick, and when the fan kicks on high it's pretty loud. I was able to get it warranty repaired which was a pain to figure out how to actually do it and they kept giving conflicting information that would send you in a loop. Once you do get past that though the warranty work did have a fast turnaround of like 8 days from sending it to getting it back. I ended up getting her a different computer and just selling this one.

Such a good deal. I snagged one and the performance is nuts. Forza motorsport runs with everything maxed out with no dlss on. If you do use dlss for any games make sure to DL DLSS swapper to get dlss 4. Anyways this laptop is a great gaming machine.

question: I'm thinking of buying this, but I honestly also won't be playing any games for a while. I don't care about the current souls-like crazy that's grabbed the market. the only game I'm excited about so far is TES 6, which is prob 3 years down the line or something
worth to buy, or in a few years there will be a better deal?

Anyone who purchased this, how is it running? I swear mine is very laggy, even with just Chrome open with 2-3 tabs. By laggy, I mean like I am typing and waiting for my text to catch up. Even just Fortnite at default settings feels glitchy. Is it just me or anyone else feeling like this computer is buggy?
