While I am disappointed in the cpu I just couldn't pass this up. Here are a couple of deals that popped up recently that are comparable but also had issues:

https://slickdeals.net/f/18433702-15-6-msi-thin-laptop-144hz-1080p-ryzen-5-7535hs-rtx-4060-16gb-ram-512gb-ssd-2025-649-free-shipping

Reading the thread this laptop was severely underpowered.

https://slickdeals.net/f/18479773-lenovo-loq-15-6-fhd-144hz-i5-13450hx-rtx-4060-16gb-ddr5-512gb-ssd-699-99

This was a great deal with a better cpu but +$50 and Lenovo.

https://slickdeals.net/f/18457579-hp-victus-15-6-fhd-144hz-i5-13420h-rtx-3050-6gb-8gb-ddr4-512gb-ssd-499-99

The cheapest gaming laptop available but with obvious compromises.

Overall this is a great deal. I've had good experiences with Asus and the 4060 is definitely a step up. The cpu while slightly inferior is still a solid chip.

Yes and two RAM slots as well. It also has a MUX switch for the video output, which is awesome at this price point. Wish it had a better CPU, but otherwise an amazing deal.

Only thing on that list imo that is comparable is the Lenovo. Both have great build quality this ASUS though should have a lot better battery life because of the CPU difference, and for gaming it certainly won't be CPU throttle in anyway with a 4060.

looking for a desktop/laptop with good graphics for video and pictuire editing and watch some some streaming on desktop / do some daily chores on desk

ios this a good option ?

p.s. use with laptop screen shut = use with docking station = external monitor (or monitors) and external keyboard and mouse

Great deal for what you get. If the resolution was higher and the cpu was better, I would be in. Even if the cost was a bit higher. The 90 Wh battery is fantastic.

I own a A16 but is very similar to this. It's pretty solid. You may need to disable cpu boost(I use g-helper) to stop it from overheating and causing it to restart. Also, the SSD's included in the A16 were well known to be defective garbage. Hopefully A15 is better there. Honestly, if you don't NEED a laptop then just buy a desktop. It eliminates a lot of the issues you run into with laptops like overheating and severely limited available upgrades.

reviews say keep away from the 1080p version, which this is... will wait for higher res while they try to liquidate their low res stock to unwary people.

is that just because of the screen or are there other factors that come with this model? for the price it seems like a decent deal, especially if you can switch because dGPU and integrated
