I got this when it first came out, I felt the mesh was a bit more unreliable than my prior 6 wifi. Costco has a nice return policy so if it doesnt work out you can return it. Lots of negative publicity with TP Link so likely going to return the wifi 7 model and go to a different brand.

I just bought this last week so I guess it's time for a price adjustment. It's been working well for me so far. Speeds are great. One tip for iPhone users is to go into the settings for the WiFi network you set up/joined set Private WiFi address to off. This will make it easier for the Deco to hand off your connection

FYI, the parental controls built into these are very limited. Frustratingly limited. Plan to use a different service.

how would this compare to eero 5 pro? Been hearing different stories about wifi 7 routers being drop in faster for wifi 5 devices. Is that true?

Do you get fast speeds? These are sub par on performance. I can't get over 600mb on WiFi 5ghz channel. I used to get 850mb without these pods. I'm right near router or pod etc.

Mines reliable but no blazing wifi speeds performance. I think the original ones were having issues and now it's been upgraded to hardware version 2.6.

I can attest that v1.0 hardware was terrible and v2.6 is extremely stable.

Bought this almost a year ago and it failed on me recently. Thank goodness for Costco return policy. Went back to Eero.

Are you using wired backhaul? I get over 850 with wired (I have one pack of this only and other lower models), don't know how much wireless backhaul drops in speed

I was just looking at this last night as one of my WiFi 5 Orbi satellites purchased from Costco in 2020 just died yesterday. The remaining 2 satellites are still working. If I need to replace it I might as well upgrade to WiFi 7 at this time. Hopefully this system works as good and lasts at least as long.

The wired backhaul is not stable on this. Sometimes shows they are connected wirelessly to each other and there's no way to force the wired backhaul.
