Just a heads up: Ring gives law enforcement your footage without a warrant. Yes, we're all law abiding here, but if you value your privacy you might want to consider another option

Eufy, Reolink are two brands that are pretty good. you could follow up with them on Google and pick which one would be best for your setup, but both of these do not require a subscription.

I currently have 2 older model Ring doorbells. No subscription and I use them for the motion detection and for live views. Are those functions still usable on this model without a subscription? If I need to record something, I just use the built in screen recorder on my iPhone.

Does your setup record when there's motion so you can review the videos later?

My ring has a battery that charges from the doorbell wires which is incredibly convenient.
