Great price, tremendous value for the quality and content. The controller skin itself sells for 15 bucks or so last time I was looking to replace mine on ebay

You're better off playing the original one from 1997 if you haven't yet.
The remake before this was ok, but this game was painfully padded with filler.

"Painfully added with filler" - lol. The original had random encounters every 10 steps. Singularly why I have trouble replaying the original.

I lost interest when I learned that your save doesn't carry through each game. I want to take my characters from beginning to end. Stick to the OG.

Play the original. It's often on SD for Steam or Switch for around $7, and there are a few "cheats" so you can breeze through the game for the story if you want. Then play FF7 Remake (and Intergrade) if you are playing on PS5), then this game.

Almost every FF game had random encounters. Maybe you only like the modern games and that's OK. Some are OK, this one was 10/10 Chadleys. Which is the same as 10/10 dumb endings.

The first game was great but this is such a blatant money grab from Square. I get that the original game was 3 or 4 discs (can't remember exactly) but to split this into 3 different games and charge us full price for each and fill each game with meaningless boring tasks of going back and forth across a small map is insane to me.
