I'm not familiar with this one specifically. I have one similar from amazon and it has done wonders in allowing me to further hone my anti-social skills. The only reason I have to leave my office now is to use the restroom.

No, these will NEVER be able to boil water. It's only for reheating of cooked food. NO RAW FOODS nor boiling of any water. It's a lunch warmer.

An equivalent to this would be Crock Pot Lunch Crock. If you're sick of joining the lunchtime microwave queue, this would be a solution.

It is pretty handy if you hear up food a lot. I leave the heater at work and bring the tin with whatever food I want heated up. It takes little while but definitely gets food nice and hot. The tin isn't that big and only comes with a thin rubber lid which I'll tape up if I'm worried about liquids spilling. One big plus is that its sealed pretty tight when heating up so I don't have to worry about the smell of whatever I'm cooking until I'm ready to open it up.

Would have pulled the trigger if it was stainless steel. I don't trust the chinese ceramic pot claims.

I put raw meat in all the time with some canned soups it'll take about 4-8 hours for it to cook. A lot of the time i run it for 20-48 hours and its the yummiest thing (free electricity from work )
