I wasn't as big of a fan of Shin Black compared to the original. it definitely felt like a toned down version of the original -- people who felt Shin Ramyun was too spicy seem to prefer this one

Way higher quality than the regular red packaging. Strangely good for instant ramen and well worth at this price.

Also unique in that the cup version seems better than the stovetop, usually the other way around.

Aldi had the Shin Ramyun Black last week (first time I'd seen it there), so you can try it without buying a half-dozen.

You will like that the cup is paper, not foam; so you get a little less petroleum in your diet.

Better vegetable packet than the red, with thick mushrooms. Almost seems creamier than the red, but still really spicy.

I have both, my fav is black ones but they usually cost more so original is more value.
Black ones have stronger and spicier flavor.
I put less water on the normal ones so the flavor is stronger while the black ones I can put a more.
