Smith and Wesson knives are some of the cheapest made on the planet.
Unless you are fully expecting low quality, dull, bad steel blades and lose joints, do not buy.

S&W make good guns but the worst knives.
Looking for a cheap knife get a ganzo or something.
All made in the same place anyway.

Why is half of the blade serrated? Does it also function as a bread cutter and comb?

There are certain functions where a serrated blade works better as an everyday carry. I find it easier for cutting through cardboard or a small branch, for example. It's a pretty popular option for knives these days...

Easiest way to tell if a knife is garbage or not, tip down pocket clip with a belt cutter.
If you are looking for a knife in this price range get a Milwaukee fastback. It will be sharper, longer, with higher build quality and replaceable blades.
Decent EDC blades start at around $30, You will actually enjoy using any of the following knives:

CJRB Pyrite Light
Oknife U1 (replaceable blades) or the U1 Pro
QSP Penguin
Civivi Mini Praxis

LOL they literally just changed the name in the listing from Border Guard, to Benji, a family friendly name.

Even though it still says Border Guard on the blade.

I own this very knife, it's completely the opposite of your claims. I wasn't expecting much from this knife when I got it for $15 at Big-5 sporting goods some 8 years ago but was extremely surprised how sharp and good the blade is on this knife without the need to sharpen it once and I use this knife fairly often.

I also have this knife, got it years ago for dirt cheap. It's had that name for a while now, fyi. I knew it was going to be cheap Chinese metal, but got it as something where I wouldn't mind if it got dinged up. I throw it in a toolbox with other tools, or cut something up against some rocks or pavement, and hey it hasn't fallen apart on me yet and still cuts. It is what it is.
