The 900w/1,800w data is a strong selling point, as well as the 1.0 sones equating to the more familiar db rating, of 40 - and it would seem to be a more 'pleasant' 40db, than more annoying, higher pitched frequencies some fans produce. If you run the 900w heater function, it's wise to choose the 110cfm setting - but only if the humidity is higher, so 80% setting. This allows a more efficient 'dehumidifier' effect that helps keep too much moisture from building up in the motor/electronics areas of the unit. The ceramic option helps avoid coil rusting as well.

I wouldn't mind testing this product out for myself. Seems like a good build - although some of the dimensions make it more of a difficult install than more standard, old school products in this value space.

It's possible that this isn't junk because manufacturing has gotten so good in general - But here's why I wouldn't gamble on it:

Heater fans are notorious from all manufacturers including the undisputed best, Panasonic, for the heater elements failing every few years. When if fails on this where are you going to find a replacement?

I only buy Panasonic fans and it isn't only because they're the best which they definitely are, it's also because they're somewhat modular - if anything dies in it, you can buy a new one and swap the guts out with just a few screws - that has save clients a lot of labor through the years and it's a great feature.

Also just an FYI, the Panasonic ones aren't much more $ than everything else..

.. So why bother with something like this from a no name brand? I would reccomend against it
