Yes. Almost worth it for P5 royal alone (super long game, but one of the best Japanese games ever).

Reddit has lots of comments from people saying P5R and Banishers making this an instant buy. Not my game genre but HBC is intended to introduce you to new games. Anyone else think it's worth it?

I haven't bit on this in a year but P5R for $15 is a steal and Banishers is really good. For people that like more casual puzzle exploration I really liked Tiny Terry and Lil Gator. This month is definitely worth $15.

As stated before this is worth it even just for Persona 5 Royal @ $15. The other games are icing on the cake but Gator Game and Banishers are also legitimately fun.

Historic lows for some of these titles.

Personally I consider Persona 5 one of the weakest entries. Unless they reworked major parts of the story between the gold and royal release, the wheels come off in a pretty big way by the end of the game with them completely ignoring the very rules they created for the world. And except for allowing some differences in the way policing is done in Japan vs most western nations, one of the central driving points of the game makes no real sense either. Then there's the stupid cat mascot thing that, for... reasons... turns into an ice cream truck. One good thing I can say about the game is that the first "chapter" deals with sexual abuse and does a respectable job with it for a fantasy horror video game. The classic JRPG turn-based combat is pretty solid, but the story is just a mess. Starts out fine, but by the end it's a total shitshow with the story writers completely making shit up as they go along. Not sure if they just had to cut out a bunch of content for some reason and did a really bad job stitching things together if they just stopped caring by the end, or what, but it's like being in a car where the wheels come off and you can see them running ahead of the car for a short time before shit hits the fan. There is also one character who has a totally OP move once you increase your bond level with them to a certain point. I've heard that they nerfed it a bit in royal, but can't say from personal experience.

My Time at Sandrock, however, is a great game if you're a fan of Stardew Valley. It's a lot like a 3D rendition of Stardew with a whole lot of QoL fixes that usually require a host of mods on Stardew. Instead of playing as a farmer you play as a builder, but otherwise the core loop is largely the same. There's also a lot of great humor slipped into the dialog that can catch you off guard.

Thanks for the deep dive. This is what I was looking for.

Great month. Played through the non-Royal version of P5 on PlayStation and since have moved to PC. Love the game, but have been waiting for a deal, and this is the cheapest I have seen Royal drop to in quite some time (if ever), and that isn't even counting the other games that I need to look at.

Good for people that just want a +1 to the library or who like their Japanese morning cartoons.
