Really excellent deal for the hard to find Z790 with DDR4! With the Intel chip deals as of late, you can build an absolute monster PC for so little now.

My boss is like OMG DDR4 has skyrocketed from vendor. I don't see it still arguing about it. My opinion if just gaming you won't see any difference and trust me I've just gone from DDR4 to DDR5 and gaming benchmarks show nothing extreme.

Ddr5 is better. However, last time I checked ddr5 is more expensive. I have also heard that good ddr4 is about good as the low end ddr5z. I recommend ddr5 for a good long term build. Also, this price is okay for a ddr4 board. You might get something much better on a ddr5 board. Last November, I built on a z690, which is older gen board with ddr5 and it works well. Yet still, that wasn't and isn't top notch for these times.

If you want lots of ram on the cheap, 4 slots of ddr4 will give you far fewer headaches than trying it it with DDR5.
