Just a heads up, these are $5.47 list price on Hakko USAs website and tomorrow (8/7) is their 20% off sale which they do only once a year, code HAKKO20. Free shipping (and a free gift) kicks in at $30.

Same. The only problem I have with this is the blades stay open just like you see in the picture. They're sharp so if you keep them in a bag then you're likely to poke yourself. To solve this I keep a rubber band on the handles to close them.Still - it's a 10/10 product for the price.

these are great for snipping zip ties. It cuts them flush so there's no overhang

Not really. I don't think it's sharp enough and makes a mess of it.

I use these for my 3D prints. The only thing to watch out for is how dang sharp they are. Had a freak accident and I ran my hand into them, had it pierce through the nail on my thumb. Wish they closed when not in use without using a band or stand.

Last Purchased: February 1, 2015 ($4.37)

10 years later and they're still going strong. My only wish is that they came with a cover for the pointy bits.

They also work pretty good for clipping excess solder too

This ^
Flush cutters are the only thing to use to cut the tails off of zip ties, otherwise you're just leaving a really sharp edge that the cut the ship out of someone's arm when accidentally make contact with it.
