Northern tool is the worst!! I've had so many orders cancelled. They're unwilling to honor the slightest deal.

Sorry OP, rant unrelated to your post, thanks for sharing.

I get it. Thanks for the feedback. I've had okay luck with them. I think it depends on location, but it's still good feeedback.

would be an instant buy if I didn't just get the two 5.0 HC batteries with the 199 hd deal as I've had my eye on the inflater but now I have 4 batteries and do minimal projects so I'll have to hold off. can get the tool only for $69 on Amazon. thanks for posting OP!

I second this. Very similar deal a while back. They shipped me the batteries next day. Then without notifying me in any way just canceled the inflator. After a while I was wondering where it was and when I followed up they told me they were out of the free tool, but since it was free they didn't owe me any money back. They said they tried their best. They pointed me to some fine print in their terms that said they try their best to get you the free tool for deals like this. Then they made it a huge hassle to get money back for batteries. Luckily I hadn't even opened them. It felt like a scam some shady company would pull.

This pump is great for bikes and decent for topping off passengers tires. But truck tires is going to take forever.

Same exact thing happened to me. I ended up filing a claim with my credit card, as they wouldn't refund me for the batteries (as I had opened them). Ended up at least getting the funds back from my credit card company.

Sorry to hear that, I haven't had any issues with them so it must be luck of the draw

I got burned by this deal and I think a lot of others did too the last time Northern did this exact deal.

Fourth/Fifth/sixth here. Don't fall for their bait and switch. They wouldn't accept me returning the batteries and fought the credit card charge back. I'll never but from Northern Tools again.

This is the worst inflator.

Own this(2nd try after exchange), two dewalt 20v' and rigid.

This one you set it lets sat 35psi, it will stop short but say 35. You can wait or power off then on again it will say 33. Soo inflate to 35psi again it will run for 5seconds or soo and jump from 33 all the way to 35 and stop again. Can wait a min or check with another gauge or inflator it will still be 33. You can do this over and over. The only way to get 35psi(or whatever set psi you want) is to target something higher by alot and stop it when its actually 35.

It doesn't do this every time but atleast 1/2 the time. Most wouldn't even be aware it stopped short. The only reason I noticed was when my tpms kept not saying 33 instead of 35 I set to. I have done multiple tests and its garbage. No other inflator does this.

I only use this for bike tires and quick fills on leaky tires now or just getting some air in. Like I said you can set higher and manually stop but its not the same set and walk away and trust it that other inflator offer. I always double check it

Last time they did this deal, at $79.99 with free inflator, they shipped the batteries, cancelled the "free item" (inflator) and refused to send it or prorate the batteries stating it was already a good enough deal.

I kid you not... They were willing to get hit with chargebacks to avoid honoring the deal.

Thanks to all of you for sharing your Northern Tool experiences.
Companies need to learn how to treat their customers. They won't be getting any of my future business.

Two batteries + one tool.

You're missing something here, just in case you want to use this inflator. Think about it. How are you going to recharge these batteries? They're not USB-C.
