Same price as it was the previous week at Costco. What will be telling to see, is what the price will be after 8/10. AAFES is $699 so my assumption is $749 will occur with this model soon at non-military retailers. Maybe Black Friday but hopefully sooner. Sometimes Costco will throw in AppleCare+ to move units. 🤷 We all know $799 should be the MSRP for this Air. If one can, Costco is the retailer and this is the price point, to buy from and purchase. Especially if you live in a state where a tax free holiday remains and has not yet occurred. - https://taxadmin.org/2025-sales-tax-holidays/

Maybe dumb question. Is this not the price on Amazon as well, for a long time now? Is there an advantage to buying at Costco?

Costco has an additional year of warranty, 90 day return period and it's also cheaper to buy apple care through Costco at the time of purchase. Post purchase only the subscription plan is available and it's more expensive if you keep it for 3 years vs paying up front.

Finally caved and bought one from Best Buy yesterday. Hopefully I don't regret the extended warranty but ordering ahead was more convenient for me from BB yesterday. Having only used MBPs up to now - this thing is impressive.

It's hard to blame Tim Cook (or Tim Apple as Trump called him) for presenting him with a glass and 24K statue. It is smart business It's how this administration works, if you don't kiss the ring and bribe like Amazon, CBS, Gucci, Nike, Meta - etc you get hammered (ask Harvard, law firms, etc)

Tim Apple is rolling in his grave that these are not demanding as high prices anymore as they once did.
