It's so interesting that LG's OLEDs are regarded as some of the best when their LCD TVs are some of the dimmest ever. If you get the chance check this out in person and compare to TCL or Hisense to see what I'm talking about

Totally agree with this. Put them side by side. You can tell big difference LG fails in brightness with the Oleds

Your comment prompted me to ask AI...
AI says the TV delivers 300 nits and mentions that is quite low. Then I asked what the optimal nits for HDR content is, and AI replied-
For optimal HDR content performance on a TV, a peak brightness of 1,000 nits or more is recommended. While a minimum of 400 nits is technically required for HDR, this level results in a mediocre experience. For a genuinely impactful HDR experience, aim for at least 600 nits, with 800 to 1,000 nits considered excellent.

It doesn't look like the poster (Como) was actually referring to OLEDs

Not only are you wrong about LG's OLED brightness, but you also misread the comment. He was saying LG's OLEDs are some of the best TVs, but their regular TVs, such as this one, are some of the dimmest out there. LG's OLEDs are very bright now. The C series is over 1,000 nits and G series is over 2,000.

I have this tv, for the price it's great. It sucks if there is any sunlight hitting it. But it's great for gaming. Sound is not good on this one, get a sound bar.

Honestly if you're looking for a big tv for gaming in a darker game room this is an awesome deal.

Have the 75" model in this series. Great TV, agree with the sunlight comment above, good for sports and gaming. Decent sound. Ended up with some stuck pixels and a failed panel. Costco concierge service was fantastic to pick up, service and return. If you're willing to run with the warranty, this is a great value.

I had a projector in our finished basement for the grandkids. This TV went on 'sale' a few years ago for $1500 and my wife liked the idea of not having the clutter of the projector Big Grin
Bought a great wall mount and it works flawlessly with the kids' for TV, videos and PS.

I winced the first time I saw this drop to $750 - oh well Smilie No extraneous light in the room, so I have no issues.

I've wall mounted many tvs in my day, but hanging this was another level. Just myself and my wife. If it dies I'm just painting over it 🤣
