As what always comes up with Anker surge protectors, is the fact that they're not UL listed. I looked this one up and it's TUV listed, which is the European equivalent of UL Listed (which is more North America based). They're both considered accepted standards in safety and electrical performance, so while I don't know the exact differences in each certification, seems like TUV is legit.

As what always comes up with Anker surge protectors, is the fact that they're not UL listed. I looked this one up and it's TUV listed, which is the European equivalent of UL Listed (which is more North America based). They're both considered accepted standards in safety and electrical performance, so while I don't know the exact differences in each certification, seems like TUV is legit.

A fire hazard waiting to happen, smh... I rather the "Belkin 12-Outlet Power Strip Surge Protector [amazon.com]" which I've purchased 2x of them since 2020. And at the time, they used to be $20.

ETL is also a legit. The reason to not use UL is because it's more costly and takes a longer time to fulfill than the others.

Couldn't find that spec anywhere. That said if a product doesn't list the spec, it's probably not that good

This is true, not sure why the downvotes. Unless evila was asking about the total current it can handle? The product page says 13A. So in theory, disregarding any parasitic loads for the usbs and such, you could plug in 15 sources of 0.86 A. These kinds of hubs are useful if you have many different intermittent use devices so you don't have to unplug and plug things in. 15 is getting to an unrealistically unnecessary number, except for some special use cases. I have a couple on my workbenches that are approaching 10 because I don't want to keep swapping cords.

TUV, ETL, UL and a few others are Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL) and their certifications are equal for the US Department of Labor which administers the program.

I would also recommend the Belkin - for those extra $3, you get almost twice the protection
