No potassium nitrate? That's like the key ingredient in ProNamel

You're joking but I was honestly trying to understand the branding/positioning.

Seems comparable to Orajel(?).

Good luck!

Actually I wasn't joking, I have a deal alert for ProNamel because regular Sensodyne no longer has potassium nitrate in it! Potassium nitrate is the only thing that works for my sensitive teeth, but the main Sensodyne line has moved on to stannous fluoride without potassium nitrate for some stupid reason. Only Sensodyne from Costco/Sam's Club still has sodium fluoride + potassium nitrate 5%.

Colgate Total actually has both stannous fluoride and potassium nitrate (not listed as active though) and it's the only toothpaste with both. But I feel like ProNamel is still better for sensitivity whereas Colgate Total is better for gums while still having some sensitivity relief.

Interesting detail! Thanks for sharing. I'm always annoyed by how hard it is to determine some of the active ingredients (especially the particular fluoride source). Now you've got me reading my Colgate Total tube and wondering if they get to sneak in Potassium Nitrate as an inactive ingredient because they aren't labeling the product specifically for gum sensitivity(?). I do see it on the ingredient list. (I've been sticking to Colgate Total for the stannous fluoride)

Good luck!
Jon
