for folks looking to stimulate muscle protein synthesis, collagen is the one of the least effective protein source out there due to its low concentration of leucine.

You can get the 2-12packs in this deal which are roughly $50 (making 2 boxes $25 and the other 2 boxes free).

Bleh, an overpriced, gross-tasting stevia bar. If you're active enough to want a protein bar, just eat one with real sugar - not to mention collagen is a mediocre source of protein anyways.

What is the collagen source for this? Animal or vegetable based?

These are only on sale because Amazon knows they were compromised at the warehouse. Most of the 11% 1-star reviews state the same.

Should call these what they really are, a collagen bar. No use for muscle gain and recovery.

These may not be the best source of protein, but these bars are absolutely delicious. I have them as an afternoon snack a few times per week.

Just get the chocolate pure protein bars that someone posted. 11 bucks for 12 of them (cheaper), better protein blend (whey), and way better macros (20g protein 180 cal). No reason to buy any of these.

Have you tried Nicks chocolate peanut butter? They may not be the best for you but imho they taste better than a lot of regular candy bars. As a bonus I feel full for hours and don't have the blood sugar spike.

The protein and fat to calories ratio on these absolutely SUCKS.

Having bought plenty of these in the past, they're tasty but that's it. Not good for dieting, not good for macros.

Not that I'm disagreeing with your main point about better bars, but stevia doesn't seem to be the main sweetener here. It's loaded full of sugar alcohols plus inulin fiber, which can cause gastrointestinal issues and bloating for some. Unfortunately, either one of these by itself always does me in and both at the same time is suicide.

I love how people project their use case, as the only use case, on to the entire rest of the world....so helpful.

Why don't you just slam cans of tuna? Cheaper and no scary gross-tasting stevia. Unless you aren't "AcTiVe eNoUgH" to need real protein outside of a candy bar (see what I mean about less than helpful projecting? Wink )
