It's not math. I meant #8 / #10 screw with "32" thread per inch.

These are the best cutters I've used. They are a beast and cut nails with ease. The head design also makes it great at pulling nails. Worth every penny.

If you dont need a German branding, you can consider similar quality items from Japan.
1) https://www.amazon.com/Tsunoda-EN...B00VLTS6SC
Same induction hardening at edges , hardness also almost same. But more precise. Larger in size. They cut larger size than they advertise easily.
Tsunoda EN-210, End Cutting Pliers, 9-Inch, $28.90

2) https://www.amazon.com/Tsunoda-PC...B009FT4EEK
$22, Tsunoda PC-1100 POWER Metal Cutter, 9-Inch

There is also Fujiya cutters.

I looked at Tsunoda. It is probably a very good cutter, and for half price too. But it also looks to me like Knipex has yet another advantage: it has a better design. It looks to me like the pivot is much closer to the cutting plane. So Tsunoda would have to be probably 16", to exert the same pressure on the cutting plain. And also, Knipex looks to me, to have a better access to the cutting plane, as both handles are designed to be to one side, so the other side is dedicated to access.

I love many things Japanese. And I love many things German. Both nations are ahead of most.

These are also great for alligator nails. I've tried many brands and these by far are the best. Especially if their diet is high in biotin.

Tsunoda makes a variety of them. You can check in Reddit for their quality. It is top notch. Check IPS also. I have a water pump plier from Engineer brand.
