What kind of tank components do people have where bleach doesn't just absolutely wreck the seals and rubber?

Add $10 for new parts for inside you toliet. A quick google seach will tell you these things are really not good for the parts insdie your toliet. I used blue ones about 2 years ago. 6 months later I was buying new rubber parts.

Slickdeals should be held liable for every busted toilet using these tablets. They will destroy your seals.

the tablets are fine... nothing special... but putting them in the tank is a no-no unless you don't have to pay $$ to fix toilet/parts or care.

Get Kaboom and a bottle of bromine spa tablets. You're welcome

Happy Toilet Cleaner is another variant. I got this for my mom since her hands can't deal with the Kaboom system. Works as well or better... just open top of tank, plop tablet(s) into the carrier.

I've been using these for years with no issues. That said, they don't seem to do much if anything. As I didn't have a coupon, I'll pass and wait for one to then decide on buying again.

Most toilets have a very subtle warning that "in tank cleaners will void warranty". Clorox and other cleaners degrade the rubber seals from the inlet water valve, to the seal between the tank and the bowl. This is why when you touch old seals that rubber gets all over your fingers. Won't happen overnight but will speed things up.

Ah, the seal debate goes on. I have been using tabs like this for years and never had a problem, but I do periodically brush and clean my water receptacle.

Just use a kaboom and throw them in it. No worries about tank breakdown then
