Keep in mind, this is 18/0. Although good quality, if you can wait for an 18/10 deal which is a little more expensive I think that's the way to go based on what I've read. Please chime in if you agree or disagree

Keep in mind, this is 18/0. Although good quality, if you can wait for an 18/10 deal which is a little more expensive I think that's the way to go based on what I've read. Please chime in if you agree or disagree

Yeah, but that's not Oneida. Oneida is top quality. I've had my set since 1993. And it's literally this pattern. I think I paid $80 for a set, and added to it over the years.

That's not really a comparable, IMO. It's not Oneida, the flatware style is completely different, and the seller isn't Amazon.

Also, Oneida offers a lifetime warranty on its flatware sets. I don't know what the warranty is on this set - I can't even find the warranty listed - but I'm presuming it's not a lifetime one.

Both the Amazon description and the Lenox product page show a limited lifetime warranty -- YMMV on what that may or may not cover.

If you think your Oneida set from 1993 is going to be the same as your new set then you are in for a big surprise

inshitification and inflation has made it where even well known brands have seen drastic drops in quality since 2020

Wrong. I just bought a set for my daughter's wedding gift last year, and a set two years ago for my son. They are exactly the same. Save your dooming anti-capitalist rant for reddit.

I will, thanks. Knowing quality is half the battle of staying wealthy. But you get your cheap imported sharp edged crap that you won't be able to replace in a few years after it's discontinued. You probably don't even have a John Deere mower for the same reason. The rest of us know better.

Wish I could double thumbs down for not a good price and not a good product. This price is normal for flatware of this low quality. 18/0 feels cheap and will rust quickly. Not everyone needs quality silverware. I get that, but this is about what this stuff normally cost for this level of quality. Nothing slick
