which part is overpriced? i think i would put word overpriced in a different context,

for example overpriced to me means there are cheaper options with that video card, cpu, and ram... and obv 18" chassis, and afaik i know not much even comes closer

vs, not worth it, because it's missing something that is crucial to you specifically. i think those are 2 different things, and for example... i have few deal breakers, such i need number pad on my keyboard, so others that don't have it, are simply excluded, no matter how cheap they are.

Still very overpriced (I don't blame Microcenter for this), especially with no OLED display.

Sure if you have to have 18". But you can't convince me this is worth ~$1k more than the Legion with a 16" OLED. It is overpriced for these specs.

wait, what I am missing? https://slickdeals.net/f/18494713- or https://slickdeals.net/f/18465808 where are you seeing such legion, post a new deal for it

I have the previous model with a 4080 and the cooling is steller. The magnesium chassis, and Dell support are tough to beat. Battery life is bad, but you aren't buying this to not plug in. I've had probably 7 AW laptops over the years and this has been the best one overall.

Show me a 5090 legion then I'll shut up. Until then this is pretty good on price. Please don't respond.

So you ask for proof of a certain config, then say "Please don't respond"? Whether that config exists or not doesn't matter...the attitude to tell a person not to respond is not what this site is about.

Also, is this not a Legion with a 5090?

I think it is worthy of the repost, but I thought the OP deserves some credit, since the deal hasn't changed.
Please note, some stores have the open box of this for under $3,000

This has desktop components inside, right? I heard these are theoretically upgradeable in the future, but I'm wondering if that's actually viable?

no, they did release a version like that about 4-5 years ago? but it failed miserably as they didnt follow up with it. ram, ssd are upgradeable, afaik nothing else is, without massive tinkering (battery replaceable, but not upgradeable, per say as it's capped)

this 5090 may say is slightly below desktop 5080.

Over priced as in 3k is far too much for a 90 series anything. If you don't own a house and earn over 100k a year, you should not buy this. It's okay though team green will stop making consumer gpu's so we won't have to worry about poor slow fools rewarding companies like this.

Beastly machine, and a good price, for the times we are in. As someone gaming on laptops since 2008, I'll just add that gaming laptops depreciate like Android tablets, so please bear that in mind while springing for one of these. You can also game on 800 usd gaming laptops with rtx 4060/rx 7700s. This is for someone who knows exactly what they're doing, or those for whom 3200 isn't a lot of money.
