If you do your homework on this machine you will see that's not a problem. Yes, I have owned one for years.

Having owned this for 7-years ...Wrong. Think about how much powered one of the rip-off trucks needs to try to suction through 200ft of hose?!
This machine has 2 motors, one dedicated to suction and it is mounted inches away from the source. It works well and leaves the carpet slightly damp.
If you're very worried, put a dehumidifier of two fans in the area to dry even quicker. Regardless it's not an issue.

I've had mine for over five years, and it's built like a tank—rock-solid and worth every cent.

Great vacuum and they do have phenomenal customer service when my hose was screwed up by a dog.

Looks like it's on sale at $411.99 with multiple retailers. You can buy from Bissell direct for the 86T3 model which is listed as including the "6 Inch Stair Tool" accessory. Kohls lists the same 86T3 model at the same price, but doesn't list the Stair Tool as included (but it is shown as included in one of the photos).

I have a similarly priced "commercial" Rug Doctor. All I will say is DO YOUR HOMEWORK on these indoor carpet sprinklers. Most machines in this price point leave carpets absolutely drenched. It's easy to see how much water goes out, versus how much dirty water is suctioned. I get the temptation to DIY and save money--which is why we're all here--but in this instance, just pay a guy to do it right.

Rug Doctor does leave too much water on the floor. I had one. Bissell is much better in that regard.

How good can it be if it can't even suck up a dog?!

Compared to the $2k+ commercial carpet cleaners, this is nothing. That said, for less than a 5th of the price, it does a decent job. I have purchased two of these, and while I agree with you, I think it's unreasonable to spend what you would on a used car on a carpet cleaner for home use.

The only thing that you should know is to make sure to drain the water from the lines before you store and don't use really hot water or you'll have leaking lines. It's an easy fix if you do, but you still want to avoid it.

I'd recommend it for home use, it'll do the job and it's built well enough.

Based on the reviews the power cord is the only advantage to this over the regular one that comes with tool for the same price? https://www.amazon.com/Bissell-Pr...0U6CS&th=1

I've had this for about 5-6 years. It's amazing. I can attest this thing sucks with the best of them. Reminds me of my wife before we got married.

Owned one of these for 6+ years at least. Far better than any of the vacuum style box store carpet cleaners I used prior. It's held up to frequent use in my household and family with no need for repair.

Wish it had heat and a larger water tank but this is the best consumer level rug cleaner in my opinion.

Have one of these (professional model with hose), got it for $300 pre-covid. Works awesome, this is a professional machine not like the cheaper ones that look like normal vacuums. I have used it a bunch of times on my carpet and car interiors (cloth seats/carpeting/floor mats). Pre-vacuum before use to keep this from clogging with hair, this is for cleaning carpet not vacuuming.

PSA for anyone, the Commercial version as far as I can tell is a worse version of the Pro. Pro has 5 year warranty vs 1 year on commercial. Pro comes with attachments, commercial doesn't. Commercial has a yellow detachable cord, pro has black fixed cord. Everything else is the same from my reading.
