I would highly recommend this product instead if you are looking for a quality valve with easy to use levers-https://www.leevalley.com/en-us/shop/garden/water-and-irrigation/hoses-and-accessories/100404-y-shut-off-valve

The cheap ones sold at the hardware stores are most often not real brass and typically have smaller inside diameters which usually results in lower water pressure in the hose. YMMV of course.

No, these are not $6 anywhere unless they are on clearance. You can get the same thing made completely out of plastic that is not full flow for that price, but not solid brass. The same exact splitter as in the post is $30 at Walmart for reference, and most hardware stores are more expensive than Walmart.

I have had the Lee Valley splitters for over 10 years, and they still work perfectly. I leave the spigot at the house on all summer, and just flip the lever when I need water at the hose. The levers are so smooth my wife who has back problems can open and close them with her foot.

Yardworks® Brass Shut-Off Y-Valve at Menards® https://www.menards.com/main/outd...-13107.htm
Might have a lower flow rate, although I didn't see those numbers posted. We use a similar valve and it works well for us.

I've never had that style valve last more than a year or two.

The nylon lever always strips its screw hole resulting in a valve that I cannot completely shut off or simply cannot open.

I've never used a butterfly-valve like the one in the original post but I presume it's more durable than the nylon lever.

What I've used the last 4-5 years is a redneck'd 3-way splitter consisting of 3/4" PVC ball valves from Lowe's glued a homemade PVC manifold. It's bulky, it's ugly and it wasn't particularly cheap to assemble but at the time I couldn't find any full-flow splitters locally that looked durable. Someone above posted a 2-way full-flow splitter from Lee Valley that looks interesting. I might grab one of those.

Edit: Just went outside to measure them...they're actually 1" PVC ball valves.
