Consoles (PS5, XbxX) should work well.

For PS5, I believe most users end up selecting Performance over Quality. Which ends up being 1080p 60 fps on a lot of games.

I plan to use this for work and for console gaming. Already have an lg c4 so I'm fine with no OLED. Does this monitor achieve 120hz at 1080?

Not disagreeing, just want to provide a different perspective. I think there is a general feeling in the gaming community that you need to max out your monitor at all times in all games to justify it. But there will be a lot of situations where you can get a ton of value from this monitor, even with a mid to low end card.

You can adjust settings to hit 144hz in competitive games (where reducing graphical quality/resolution is a minor compromise) and enjoy 4k quality at a lower frame rate for single player/cinematic games.

And for many many older/indi titles, you can hit 4k/144hz (think Hades type content). And that is before considering modern resolution upscaling, which has gotten dang good and is most helpful for mid to low end cards.

Just some stuff to think about, I was a die hard 1440p monitor fan but my next monitor will be 4k, it's just a much more approachable resolution these days. Game on Smilie
