This Gigabyte laptop is fantastic for what it is. A very lightweight gaming / creator machine and I would say that dollar for dollar, its a very solid deal. I actually have a very similar one sitting here right beside me That I just bought on Monday from BestBuy while it was on sale for $1299.99. Only difference is the CPU in mine is the AMD Ryzen Al 7 350.

I also bought an HP OMEN 16 Slim 16-an0003nr 16" Gaming Laptop Computer with an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H 1.5GHz Processor; GeForce RTX 5070 8GB GDDR7; 32GB DDR5-5600 RAM from Microcenter Last Saturday, for the same price. $1299.99 which I'm currently using right now.

I bought them both to sort of do a face off, battle of the laptops to see which one would come out on top and decide which one I'm ultimately going to keep. But, it's tough because they both have different things that I really like.

For instance, The Gigabyte has a beautiful 2560×1600 color calibrated screen and it's lush. The Trackpad is smooth as glass. However, I'm not a fan of the keyboard at all. But for everything I need, and at this price. I cant complain. It's a good deal.

I mostly game on console and i needed a new laptop for work and having a new 5070 video card to play with is just icing on the cake and honestly, for the price it's hard to beat. Although I did buy the HP Omen at Microcenter for the same price.

The Hp Omen keyboard is just so much better. Like soooooo much better. The feel under your fingers. The keyboard layout. Plus, the HP also has a full size number pad. Which I love. Some people don't like them or want them and that makes sense if it's not something you really utilize, but i do. Especially for work and some games rely on a number pad for some shortcuts. Sure, you can keymap things to different keys but for me it's just so convenient. The track pad on the HP isnt as great as the Gigabyte but I use a Logitech Master 3s Mouse, most of the time, anyway.

My biggest caveat with with the HP, well, it's not really a caveat it's just the fact that the Gigabyte has sure an awesome screen and the one on the Omen 16 Slim is only 1920x1200, which might be better for some people who want max FPS in gaming but if you're working 8 hours a day in front of a screen, it's not as great, but I think that if do end up keeping the Omen, then I'll probably just buy a used higher res external monitor off of Marketplace.

As far as gaming goes just based on some 3dMark Benchmarks has the HP with a slight lead in gaming but it's not a night and day difference and with DLSS you probably wont even notice it. They are both good systems. It's hard to figure out which one I wanna keep and which one I'm going to take back. I have till the end of the week to make a final decision. I think I might lean towards the HP because of the keyboard. It's just so much better than Gigabytes. But the Gigabyte screen sure is gorgeous.

You probably couldn't wrong with either system and also the Gigabyte is only like 4 lbs and some change. I cant remember the exact weight and i dont feel like looking but it's very light, with the HP being only a little heavier. I was holding both in each hand and couldn't really feel a difference between them, to be honest.

Anyway...I don't know if this helps anyone but that's my two cents.
