I think this is the best deal on this Milwaukee stubby so far. The batteries, alone, are worth at least $100 (at that minimum). That said, I've held off on buying the new stubby design due to the complaints about the trigger being used as a power selector. I'm thinking that Milwaukee will move back to a separate power selector in a future updated stubby model.

$10 per "ah" is the normal going rate most of the time.

$146 for the other deal if you return the batteries. $169 for this deal keeping the 3ah batteries. Seems like an easy way to pickup two 3ah batteries for those who have a need. Gotta find some 5ah for this tool regardless.

My hubby LOVES this thing! He's a heavy equipment/diesel mechanic and says it's so lightweight, small, powerful and consistent, compared to a bunch of other brands. I've been waiting for it to go on sale again. Thanks for posting!!!

Actually it was $120 for the first few days and then $146, I got a 3/8 for 120 with batteries cancelled and this thing is a monster even with the 4ah batteries.

Can't wait for your post on a GENUINE Milwaukee 3ah battery for $30. Mind providing me a link for that?

A power selector button takes up almost no space, so I disagree.

You're not getting full performance with these outdated batteries on the new stubby. (Several YouTube video reviews show up to 25%+ drop in performance). Even the 2.5 high output has more power than these ancient 3.0's. You're basically making the gen 2 stubby perform almost to the same level as the gen 1 with these outdated packs. Wish these deals came with the M12 5.0 High Output Batteries. The "hack" deals are better for this.
