So these do not get you the theatrical as well? Guess I'll keep trying to get a 4K digital code of The Hobbit.

The only way to watch The Hobbit in 48fps is to go back in time to a theater that was showing it in 48fps (not meaning that sarcastically, just that there's no way to do so).

This set appears to ONLY include the Extended editions.

The Hobbit movies were free to watch on prime up until the end of July maybe?

They held up pretty well. Worth the rewatch if its been a few years.

I literally was just trying to find LOTR on Prime last night but I guess they removed it. I've rewatched these dozens of times as something to throw on in the background, so I'm taking advantage of this deal. Worth it for me, thank you.

I'm going to be honest here - I don't think the 4k transfers on these films are up to snuff. I'm going to continue to wait for them to do a proper UHD remaster.

I'm a simple man. I see The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy (Extended Editions) (Digital 4K UHD), I vote up.

Though if you have a UHD Blu-Ray player, you'll get much better image quality than the digital version.

The theatrical versions are better imo. These extended cuts just don't flow as well.
