Introduced at $1200 in May, was briefly on sale for $1000 in June, dropped all the way to $800 and $785 in early July before going out of stock for a whole month. Just came back in stock today (a month later) and already down to $700.
It'll be down to $500 before Thanksgiving. Setting an additional alert to make sure I don't miss it.

For some reason you can't trade in your existing phone for this phone. Some of the other deals on Amazon recently like the Z Flip7 FE for 700 or the RAZR+ for 630 have had trade ins available, but not this phone.

I still see the option to trade in right below the listing
Amazing deal for a solid phone. I had an S25 and the camera was terrible in low light. I switched to the Edge for the camera (same as S25 Ultra) and couldn't be happier.
Battery life is fine, roughly the same as the S25. Still lasts me all day.
I have this phone as a backup to a S25+ and iPhone 15. The battery life is for my uses all but identical to the S25+. I am not sure if its how I use the phone or some kind of battery management but the battery life on this phone is perfectly average. Excellent phone for the price. I got a mint like new 512gb Titanium Jetblack off Swappa for $780. I am going to sell my S25+ after using the edge for a few weeks and enjoying it. My hands are partially paralyzed from an auto accident and the lack of weight is easier for me to hold.
I have tested a dozen cases through Amazon Vine. The best overall case is the UAG Case Dot Magsafe @ $45. Best value is WAWZ for Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge 2025 6.6" Case Compatible with MagSafe $8.
Other phones I have owned: S23 Ultra, S25 Ultra, iPhone 16 Pro, OnePlus 13

FYI the Amazon listing is incorrect that it cites a 12 megapixel telephoto lens when the secondary camera on the S25 Edge is actually a 12 megapixel Ultra wide.
RECEPTION OVERVIEW
Design and Feel
The S25 Edge drew praise for its ultra-thin and lightweight design (just 5.8mm thick and 163g). Many reviewers acknowledged it as an engineering feat, making it very comfortable to hold and pocket compared to bulkier flagships.
Battery Life
The S25 Edge uses a 3,900mAh battery, which is smaller than both the S24 Plus (4,800mAh) and the S25 Plus (4,900mAh). This resulted in significantly shorter battery life compared to other flagship models. Real-world usage and standardized battery tests placed its performance well below the S24 Plus, with around 6h 22m of screen-on time—deemed average to below average for 2025 flagships and enough to spark "battery anxiety" in some reviewers.
Charging speed is also slower, maxing out at 25W versus 45W on the S25 Plus. Wireless charging is retained at 15W.
Camera System
The S25 Edge drops the telephoto lens entirely, offering only a 200MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide sensor. While it lacks true optical zoom, Samsung uses "sensor crop" technology with the main sensor for effective lossless 2x zoom, which reviewers found to be passable for occasional close-ups and social media—but not a full replacement for a proper telephoto lens.
Reviewers noted that image quality at 2x is still quite good, but any higher zoom levels (like 3x or 10x) don't match what the S24 Plus or S25 Plus deliver with their optical telephoto lenses.
Performance and Features
Performance is strong thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Elite and 12GB RAM, and you still get high-end features like QHD+ OLED display, 120Hz refresh, and full suite of Galaxy AI tools.
However, the value proposition is questioned: for $1,100, the S25 Edge is more expensive than the S25 Plus, but offers fewer premium features (smaller battery, no telephoto, slower charging).
