I purchased this last year for $99. It was easy to assemble using Bilt app. I have done multiple smoke sessions on it and food turn out great. Had issue with the controller and contacted Loco. They have discounted the item so no more parts are available. I ended up upgrading to a Masterbuilt smoker afterwards.

how easy is it to clean out ash? any issue with running out of charcoal mid-cook?

I've got a Weber 22" kettle that I was planning to upgrade with a $250 Spider Venom temp controller. This grill seems like it does that already and has some other nice features that the Kettle doesn't.

Might give this a try for only $160. It will stay covered in a screened in porch so I am hoping it lasts a long time -- main concern is parts replacement for the fan controller.

Pretty straight forward with the included metal rod to push the ash down to the ash bin below. The bin is very large and is a simple twist and unlock. Overall great design similar to exactly a Weber with a Spider controller mod

check the reviews, by the time you factor in wasted time assembling, frustration cooking, and messed up food its probably not worth it with these reviews. looks like HD is dumping these for a reason

Going from a tried and true grill that is the industry standard to a discontinued model from a company that few have heard of just because it has a few bells and whistles (that may or may not work)? Thats some interesting decision making. If you want to stick with charcoal or wood I think there are better options out there and some may or may not cost more.

Go with the venom it's awesome and so is the Weber. or try the inkbird fan controller on your Weber.

These were $99 at the start of the season, so not really a deal.

If no replacement parts are available, these might quickly become e-waste.

Ok guys, I have one of these, and it is a free grill. It wasn't intentional, as I REALLY wanted this to work. Purchase it, and if it works, you have an amazing grill. The issue all are having is that the temp controller is not activating the fan to increase the temp of the fire. So, I called Loco, showed them my purchase price, and they sent me a check for the amount I paid, and they goodbye want the grill back. So, now you have a free, upgraded version of the old school version of charcoal grills...

I got this for $99 deal on here, not great as a grill. The fan is a little weak.
