Good price if you like Polymaker over other brands. PLA should be $9-$10 to be a slick deal.

I've never had any issues running cardboard spools in AMS (unless they were bent in shipping).

Not all pla is the same. Polymaker is better in my opinion than anything you will find anywhere close to $9-$10. Elegoo comes close and sometimes goes on deal (not $9-$10 though unless buying in bulk) l. I almost never buy polymaker anymore though because it's usually $20+ I still haven't grasped why you write the same thing in most pla threads as if all PLA is the same. Why not just post your great deals?

Also, while you haven't had an AMS issue yet with cardboard spools, it's advisable not to wait until you do. It won't be easy to get all the cardboard particles out of your AMS. cardboard spools will generally feed and roll fine with your AMS. the issues you may have is the long term effect. Polymaker has started using new cardboard materials on some of their filament which they say will not harm your AMS, but the ones in this OP aren't them.

Most PLA is the same (as with other filaments as well. PLA+, PLA Pro, etc... all 99.99% marketing. Modern 3D Printers can not print almost all brands with the same ease. So brands are pretty much a non issue. Even name brands are making the same filament in non named brand versions.

You probably don't pay attention when I comment on good prices or know that I Thumbs Up a lot of those.

I've heard people say that for years. Cardboard dust is simply not an issue. Look at the amount of spools for sale that are cardboard and the amount of AMS users who use cardboard spools. No issues... just people regurgitating that Bambu once said about possible issues. I've used hundreds of cardboard spools over years and also needed to disassemble the AMS for broken filament. I've never seen any accumulation of cardboard dust. Where are all of these people who have problems with them?

For years Polymaker has sealed the edges of their spool. I'm looking at about 20 rolls that I bought during their Black Friday sale from 2 years ago. They are all sealed and have been for years.
