Inflate one tire about every 15 minutes or it over heats. Battery life decent for the first couple of months, then downhill fast after that. 5-6 months in it can barely inflate one tire before it's DEAD.
YMMV

Is this better than the hoto? Lol $15.98 is not bad for its specs

"allows the air compressor to refill up to 8 tires (195/65R15) from 30-36PSI"
Is it just me? Or does that not seem like much? It can top-off a tire 8 times?! How many tires from flat can it do?

One can always choose an inflator that has battery + 12v power option to aleviate the cheap / poor quality batteries. Craftsman has a $25 inflator with dual power option
As far as duty cycle, yes they are limited, more for a top off say 5-10psi rather than inflate from zero on a car tire. They are capable if needed, but not really ideal if that is the main use.

I bought this earlier this year at about this price to help me get through the weekend until I could get my leaky tire replaced on Monday. My tire was badly leaking and would go from full to flat in about 90 minutes. This helped me inflate so I could make sure trips like going to the grocery store a couple of miles away.
I'd say that it took about 20 minutes to inflate the tire from completely flat to about 35 psi, which was about when the battery would die. Keep in mind that this was a badly leaking tire, so a tire without a leak would be way faster to inflate.
I'm glad I got it, and keep it in my trunk now just in case. But if I had it to do over again, I'd get one with a bigger battery and/or the ability to run indefinitely while powering off the car's cigarette lighter. Those features were available on other brands that cost about $30, which seems like a reasonable price to pay to be better prepared.

also as others have said beware the duty cycle, as hot as this thing gets i wouldn't run it longer than 60 seconds at a time.
