This is a great kit at a great price. RG Nu has been pinned at $50 for nearly 5 years at major retailers like Amazon.

The only gotcha is that if you haven't built one of these in a while, and you're hitting bifocal age, be prepared for some pain.
Imagine the challenge of building a 1/144 kit in general due to its smaller size, and double the parts + make them smaller, and you have a RG kit. =)

The upside is that unless you're over-the-top with detail, the modern-day multi-color injecting and assemble will result in a great model even if you choose not to paint.

I remember watching this in the theaters like it was yesterday! And then I realize it was released in 1988. Yikes.

I didn't buy this specifically but after rooting around seeing what else they had, I got the MG Aile Strike Gundam for $26 (local pickup) I've been waiting a few months now for a deal to get my first Gunpla kit and now I'm super excited!

This is an amazing model, I'm tempted to get it again at this price. If you are into the hobby and don't have this one in your collection, then don't hesitate and go buy it now! Btw, this RG is MG sized, look it up and see what I mean

I'm a gundam noob here. what's the difference between this one and
Bandai MG Gundam Ver.Ka U.C.0093 Mobile Suit Model Kit. I got this latter one and I'm not an expert to tell the difference.

The main different is size, MG is larger

RG is 1/144. They kit is smaller with a lot more details, thus you can expect smaller pieces and much more decal. You can easily spend hours on this kit just applying decal.

In contrast, MG is 1/100. They are a bit bigger, so is easier to build compared to RG. A lot less pieces as well, but kit of the quality is still great.

In addition to your question, Ver.KA are alternative designs by a person called Hajime Katoki. The designs for these kits are slightly different from the "normal" versions.

Is this not a Bandai branded gunpla? I see the same exact thing on Amazon for $34.88 and it also doesn't have any mention of Bandai.

It's from Bandai I picked up mine today. That was an action figure not a model kit.

The MG version is larger, but some people might find that its parts come loose more easily, and it can have trouble standing steadily due to the heavy backpack. But both are great kits can't wait to build them.

Always wondered about the whole Ver.KA designation. Had a 2 kits gifted to me that stated Ver.KA but didn't know what it was.

their e-commerce site sucks. I tried with PP and CC and it kept refusing my order right at the checkout.
