Note: this splicer is pretty difficult to use. It can be hard to get the filament into the right position. It's still the best splicer out there though.

I am tempted to get this but its hard to justify when you can score deals on filament for like $7-8. In order to justify i would need to save the equivalent of 4 rolls of filament. I have a filament scrap box and it has maybe one rolls worth across dozens of old rolls. This doesn't even mention the time/effort/failures this might create. If j could get this for $10 i would be game but its just hard to justify

it's neat to use if you wanted to make your own rainbow/multicolor filament.I've also used it to splice the remaining spool to a new spool or several rems if what I have left isn't enough to finish a print.

Nice! I've had this filament splicer on my Amazon wishlist for a while. This made me finally pull the trigger on ordering.

It took 2 tries to get it right. 1st attempt was too much pressure at the joint which created a bulge, 2nd was just right. Not too difficult and handy for the times you need it.

I don't get why I needed this. Bambu can print with the 2nd roll automatically if the 1st roll runs out

If you're a poor schmuck like myself who doesn't have an AMS for their printer (Creality K1 Max), this will help you use up a bunch of spool ends and not just throw them away.

This is a great product at the wrong time. If this had come out 5 years ago it would have killed it. People had been dying for a way to splice together used filament rolls for a long time. Then the AMS/MMU came along and solved the problem completely.

If you don't have an MMU then maybe this is for you but if you already have a multi color system don't bother.
