These were $1 each at two of the grocery stores where I live in Colorado (not a low-cost-of-living area). This is not a great deal.

Yeah. Plus it's just a tiny amount of rice + seasoning anyways. Smack some rice, equal cups water, bullion, seasonings (try different things), maybe some olive oil if your fancy. Pressure cook 3min, 15min slow release. Bam, perfect rice.

Can easily add in some veggies too. Throw em in, add some extra seasoning, cooking times the same

They are $1.49 at Woodmans and they have the lowest prices in my area of IL. King Soopers is doing 10 for 10, they are normally $1.67.
