10" can be a lot of pole for some applications, but not a lot for tree trimming.

I used 8" and cut and trim a lots of tree, if trunk is too big, just do multiple cut.

It depends on the size of the branches. With a 8" bar, I have trimmed up to 10" by cuting over, under, and around.Of vourse all basic tree trimming rules and safety rules (eye protection, helmet when cutting under, face & breathing protections, and ground spacing) are mandatory

This is for tree trimming, NOT for cutting trees with trunks that are larger than 8-9". When cutting close to you, your chainsaw must have a chainbreak safety feature for your protection.

Dude, 10" is the saw blade length not the pole. The pole is 9-14ft.
