Just ordered a g95sc (new) 10 days ago and it came with a large dead area. And now Samsung puts me through nine circles of Hell trying to have it returned (7 days and they still have "technical difficulties" generating a return label). Heed my advice - stay away!

I went through the same last night. 3 hours on chat and they kept disconnecting and asking me for proof. They finally offered me a $23 partial refund, i just declined it and asked for return label since they wasted my time

If they issued you the label already, consider yourself lucky. 7 days - no label for to "a technical issue with our system."

I either got lucky or someone at BestBuy messed up, but when I picked up an open box from BestBuy a couple of weeks ago on the G95SC the box was brand new - no open box stickers and all original tape. Even the cashier said she thinks they gave me a brand new one and released it to me anyway. Monitor and 4 years of protection for around $850.
(I know this is posting is for a different monitor, but just sharing because sometimes you can get lucky on an open box)

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DSD1FCNC Amazon Has it for 749 refurb/open box. Do yourself a favor buy it from Amazon instead return it to ups or whole foods without issue next day. Better yet, find one dead pixel (or any other mild to miniscule flaw) complain in Amazon help chat and expect to recieve additional money back. I'd expect at least $175 if you complain about it's condition in anyway.

I can live with the fact that I was not lucky with a bad apple (although the topic of systematic QC issues with Samsung monitors has become notoriously pervasive). But the fact they make you go through the hoops of "customer support" to return the damn thing and - after 7 days - you still haven't got a return label - that is a real issue. I have no problem with getting a broken device on Amazon, but from this point on, I will never ever order anything on Samsung.

This isn't sold by Amazon, so you would be dealing with whomever. They do appear to be US based. https://www.amazon.com/sp?ie=UTF8...chant_link
