About this Item:
  • 15 LCD keys poised to trigger unlimited actions. One-touch tactile operation lets you control apps, launch social posts, adjust audio, mute your mic, turn on lights and so much more, while visual feedback confirms your every command.
  • Trigger sound effects and audio clips. Launch GIFs and onscreen videos. Activate your lower thirds, intermission screen, and signature outro graphics. Stream Deck integrates your tools and detects your scenes, media, and audio sources, so you can cruise through your workflow and focus on your audience.
  • Sit back, tap a key, and smile as your Ring Light turns on, your intro scene goes live, and your welcome message posts to chat. Smash another key to activate flight mode, launch Spotify, and open your favorite creativity app. With Multi Actions, any number of actions can be stringed together, assigned to one key, and triggered intermittently or all at once.
  • Simply drag actions onto keys and add icons. Need more actions? Turn keys into folders to store as many actions as you need. You can also save unique key layouts as profiles for instant access to task-specific actions. Even better, set Stream Deck to switch profiles automatically as you jump between apps.

What software would you recommend using to create macros, customize the functions of each button, and change the stickers on the fly?

I don't use OBS though. I'm bouncing between Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, VS Code, Blender, SketchUp… changing stickers for each program would get in the way of me snacking.

Also, my numpad has 17 buttons, and this Stream Deck has 15 -- but through the software, it's effectively many multiples more. The math just ain't mathin'.

you map them in OBS and why would you need to change the stickers when you have 2-3x the buttons

Right? I've got the old XL and it's absolute money for AutoCAD work; got mine for about $130 at BB a few years ago. Also makes for a nice button box for Elite Dangerous with the right programming.

when you hit the sticker button, does it change the stickers on the next menu too? I didn't realize that you could do this.

I love stream decks. I got into them about 6 months ago. I have every single model. Mini, mk.1, mk.2, neo, and xl. They're great to have for work or just for fun.

I bought all mine on offerup or Facebook marketplace. The best deal I got was 3 brand new xl versions for $200. Sold 2 of them, so move was free with some extra cash!

Heads up for those who own (or will own) a Stream Deck.

Check out the Virtual Stream Deck (beta). [elgato.com]

Easy to set up & easy to use.

Just recommend being cautious using that if you have an OLED display.

I have my opacity set so low it is almost not visible until you move your mouse over it. You can also set it to autohide until you move your mouse over it.
