Whew, look at the Speed on that ram! CL 28 = tight timings! Big difference from CL36 or CL32, for that matter. This ram is expensive compared to slower ones, but for good reason.

This is actually not true.

For example, 32 34 34 76 is going to be WAY faster than these at 28 40 40 100.

The second number actually makes a way bigger performance impact than the CL.

This set is a Lazy bin, as in they just slapped something together with extremely loose expo timings.

This set won't perform much better than those 36 36 36 102 samsung kits out of the box.

BUT, it is hynix, so if you watch the right youtube channel, You should be able to get these very tight with enough voltage.

No, what you want to search is Buildzoid hynix.

linus, gamernexus, jayz is all trash tier product shilling, they don't do anything hard, and they don't have in house Overclocking expertise.

Agreed. The amount of channels on Youtube that are glorified sales channels is astounding these days. And that goes for everything now, not just PC gaming.

This explained nothing on what you suggested, watching the right video on how to tighten timings. That's just a video on why tighter timings are better.

Why would you do 2x24 vs 2x32? Feels like a middle ground we didn't need, unless I'm missing something magic about 24/48.

24gb dimms use a different size chip and it just so happens to put less load on the CPU memory controller when you start overclocking it and tightening the timings. Its more of an intel thing, but it might help in some situations on AMD
