I did a little bit of research about the product material. I think these cloths are made from high-quality microfiber (polyester/polyamide), which is tightly woven and naturally resistant to pilling.As long as you wash them gently, avoid fabric softener, high heat, and washing with rough fabrics, I think they could stay smooth and soft after several washes
