I bought this a few weeks back. It was amazingly well when I'm mowing the yard. I'm 6'4 and it fits around my neck just fine and produces plenty of airflow on the two higher settings. Yeah, it can be loud, but it's a fan.

Picked this fan up the other day. Just got done with some yard work. I'm wearing it now. Works fine. No complaints. BTW I have a size 16.5 collar. Fan fits fine.

We had some elevator repair work done at my office and the technicians were both wearing these. I asked if they liked them and they both said they were lifesavers for what they do. They mentioned the $20 for a pair at Costco. I stopped by and of course the store I went to didn't have them on sale.
Picked 2 pair of these up last week for an upcoming trip. They fit my kids (4 and 6) and myself and my wife just fine. They aren't loud and blow a ton of air. very happy with them.
Same in SoCal for me. The Deal Guy also said he got it for $20 at his Costco. Does this vary by region?
It may vary by time. We got one when The Deal Guy put out his video. Then the price went up for a few weeks then it came down.

How would this fair with a 17.5-18" collar?
Costco has good return policy. You should not worry about giving it a try.

Can attest to the loudness but for my yard work and cutting lumbers and building stuff with power tool, it isn't bad. My in-law who is a chef really loves it.

bought these a few weeks back for a NYC trip for work. Brutal heat 97-101 every day with humidity and these were fantastic. had it on the lowest setting and it lasted for 2 days before i needed to recharge.

Try them on at Costco perhaps. The box can be opened so they are easy to try out before purchase.
