Are carbon fiber paddles stronger? Looking for something that will help push away from banks a bit better

my understanding is that they are stronger and much lighter. makes paddling much easier. at least that's what I've read...

Much lighter. I love mine. paid more for the paddle than I did my kayak and it was well worth it.
