Specs are nice. I've purchased a laptop and AIO from this brand in the past and they both held up well so happy with this brand.

Assuming I know the deal you're referencing, it just depends on if you prefer 14" form factor and are ok with no OLED and need the better processor and 64GB ram.
If this less ram, 350 proc and OLED 16" is worth it to you. I'd go with this but not if I needed the better specs on the other. I like the bigger screens and will not go back from OLED but a lot of people disagree

Have a P16 Gen1 I bought because of the upgradable ram to 128GB, I use it for Bioinformatics analyses and love the thing. Upgraded the SSDs to 6TB as well. Be wary with Lenovo refurbished as I was sent the wrong machine 3 times before I elevated the issue by emailing head of customer service directly, probably non-issue if buying new.

Why won't you go back from OLED? I was thinking a high resolution OLED screen might be overkill for my use case which is most using office app and watching YouTube.

For those who don't need enterprise class features, I hope everyone compares this to the Zenbook S16. It's ~$400 cheaper for similar specs and you get 120hz versus 60hz on this OLED. Also not big difference between 24GB & 32GB for most.

I won't share a link because SD will get commissions, but looks like it's back to $1500 at Best Buy. Often on sale for $999. Just search: zenboook s 16

I think the thinkpads are worth the premium if you're using it for work. They are built like tanks and their onsite warranty coverage is AMAZING. I highly recommend.

The one in this deal has a different screen and less RAM. The one you posted has a smaller screen and more RAM. That's about all you can read into it.

What this means practically is that the laptop you ordered is just 2 inches smaller physically. I personally much prefer 14 inch to 16 inch because it's significantly easier to carry and fit into bags, but that's purely preference.

You are also gonna get a numpad with the 16 inch laptop, which wouldn't fit on the 14 inch. Again, preference.

The difference between 32 and 64 GB RAM is probably not going to be significant to you as an average desktop user, though it'll depend on your specific workload.

Also, yours has a smaller resolution, but honestly 4k is probably way overkill for a 16 inch screen. I highly highly doubt you'd be able to tell the difference if the 16 inch screen was 2.8k as well. The general sentiment is that the jump from 1440p to 4k is tentative even on 27 inch screens, but here I just can't conceptualize how the 4k would translate to any noticeable image quality improvement.

What you are, however, likely to notice is that the laptop screen you ordered is 120hz while this one is (I think) 60hz. This means movement on your screen will look noticeably less smooth.

I personally lean toward the one you ordered. If you like a bigger screen, don't care about refresh rate, want a numpad, or really really want the 4k, this one is acceptable too.

I purchased this but decided to return it after just one day. The off-centered keyboard was a deal breaker for me—it felt very uncomfortable to type on. The oversized top bezel housing the webcam also looks awkward, and the chassis feels less sturdy compared to the T series.
