This sale price is $37.50 per chair, which I think is low for a wooden Adirondack chair.

What's the realistic life expectancy of these?

Depends on where you live, but being in South Florida, this would be a big pass for me.

Are these wood or the "plastic" wood (polywood) that everyone likes and is pricey?

Read the 3 star and below reviews. Buyers mention these are not good in exposed areas with sun and rain. Probably best in a completely covered space outside or inside. Around a firepit out in the open for example wouldn't be ideal, which is what I need. Pass.

Picked up a couple last time it was posted. Both chairs had screws broken out in the same spot. I screwed them back in with some gorilla glue. They seem sturdy and solid enough that with a little effort could be kept in good shape with some effort. Definitely better than the plastic chairs they're selling for $26.

Been looking for some chairs like this for a fire pit. Thinking based off prices Ive seen I might be good taking a shot on these. If the paint becomes an issue, use paint thinner, sander, and apply my own finish for longevity

Save yourself the time and effort and get Polywood or similar. Costco and Sam's often have sales. I like the Costco ones better. Yes they cost a fair amount more, but they are worth it.

Ordered one set. Even if it last me 5 years it's worth it.
