I will shortly. Purchased the hp omnibook 5 14 with snapdragon x plus, oled touchscreen, and weight at >3 lbs ($800) HP is claiming 34 hours battery life! even half of that for real world is amazing. The biggest issue with windows on ARM is hardware driver support. my printer is supported, but not my scanner. Games are hit and miss. that's not my use case for a productivity machine.

I've been using Windows on ARM for 4 years, and it was only a problem before Windows 11. Don't listen to all the doomsayers about incompatibility issues.

I have the 15-inch with the X-Elite processor and 32 GB RAM. For my use cases of MS Office, Internet, and AI apps (ChatGPT & Gemini), the performance and battery life have been absolutely stellar. I have waited years for a MacBook-like experience, and Microsoft finally delivered!

I have a Samsung Galaxy Book Edge 4. I pretty much only use it for Lightroom and browsing the net. For my use case it's pretty sweet. Web browsing is snappy, Lightroom edits and exports are fast, it's quiet and I get the windows file management that I like for my workflow.

Well then it isn't new. Did you buy a refurb?

That's not entirely true. We have a Brother MFC and printing has zero issues on our 2 ARM laptops. Scanning directly to our laptop took some workarounds but we were able to get it to work.

My interest has been piqued. How old was the MFC model?

I did not say it was new... I said refurb. Yeah. It was. The same as this deal. its the same stock. Certified Refurb. Just saying, make surey ou check the bios. Could be returns from instatutions where they have locked it down, returned without fulling restoring it to sellable conditions. Apartently the certification procerss does not restore the uefi / bios.

Actually, you made no mention that you bought a refurb.
