What are these even used for? I keep seeing these while looking for a traditional belt sander and I can think of much besides sculpture or something.

People that have and use these, are they fairly specialized or have wide utility generally speaking?

Not sure if they are worth having over something like a die grinder for general use?

Just looking for perspective to justify I guess…

If you had this tool you wouldn't have to spin your own wheels. It could do it for you and much faster.

Times i have used this this month:
-grind down inside square stock tubing
-grind down round tubing to create 2 flat side for a wrench
