If you've got AC unit (window, mini-split, or central air) that has gone a year or two (or more) without a good cleaning, get this and use it. You'll notice a difference, trust me.

Spray it on, wait 10-15m for it to do its thing, then use a fairly strong setting on your garden sprayer to blast & flush the debris out (but not so strong as to bend the fins). You might need to do multiple cycles of this if you've got some thick debris caking going on. Try to get a look at the inside of the fins (where the fan is) - the bottom's usually the worst part because that's where water usually splashes up to help cooling.
1 can should be good for at least 2 or 3 cleanings of a window AC unit.

If you've got AC unit (window, mini-split, or central air) that has gone a year or two (or more) without a good cleaning, get this and use it. You'll notice a difference, trust me.

I don't even spray it off. The condensation with use will rinse off naturally.

Yes, If you have a split type, spray it on and just let it be. When your AC is running the coils condensation will rinse it off.

Not going to be as good/thorough of a cleaning, especially if there's a lot of really caked on debris.
You can do it the lazy way and get half-baked results, or you can put in a tiny bit more effort using a hose and get it properly clean. If you're spending money on a product, might as well ensure you get good results with it eh?

Whatever you do, don't leave any residue on your coil. It'll eat the metal over time and cause a refrigerant leak which will easily cost 10x the savings of cleaning yourself

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm confused as to where exactly id spray it on an outside central air unit.
