We bought that one about 2 months ago. I was surprised at the quality for the price. The 2 batteries and case are nice. We've used it to cut several branches and it worked great. I also used it to cut a large hole in sheetrock in my ceiling to repair a water leak (was all I had at the time) and it went through iit like butter.

Oil should be removed after use. If not it will leak while in storage.

How is this compared to https://a.co/d/144mZfA That was on sale here recently for $26?
The other deal (Seesii chainsaw) includes a carrying case, which is an important feature for me. After all, I'm buying it for convenience. I want an easy way to carry and store it.

The Seesii chainsaw includes 2 batteries vs. the Tietoc chainsaw's 1 battery.

This deal (Tietoc chainsaw) has an auto-oiler feature, the Seesii chainsaw needs to be manually oiled. This is not a dealbreaker for me because (a) auto-oilers tend to leak, which means draining the oil before storing the chainsaw and (b) the mini-chainsaw operates at fairly low RPM compared to gas models, meaning the chain needs to be lubricated much less often.

The Tietoc chainsaw retains the saw bar with a large knob, which is more convenient to use than the standard retaining nut used by Seesii chainsaw.

Other than chopping branches, can this be used to trim hedges?
It would likely work but with the short reach out wouldn't be ideal for leveling hedges vs a cheap powered hedge trimmer with a longer blade reach.

I use my mini chainsaw almost exclusively to cut off and then break down the long palm fronds from my palm trees and it works very well for that so far. Previously I relied on a sawzall which kind of worked but wasn't ideal with the blade catching often and the angle was often difficult while on a ladder lol.

Does the fact that the blade kickback cover doesn't actually cover the entire blade scare anyone else besides me? Seems like with any kickback, it could do some real damage.
While the mini-chainsaw may kickback if used with bad cutting technique, the kick is nowhere near as strong as with a gas powered chainsaw. Kickback isn't as big an issue for the mini-chainsaw because of its relatively low RPM (2000-3000RPM for the mini-chainsaw vs. 8000-14000RMP for a gas powered chainsaw). Also, the arc distance of the bar during the kickback tends to be much smaller because of the shorter bar. And the momentum generated by the mini-chainsaw is far less because it is so much lighter than a gas powered chainsaw, so any kickback is much easier to control.

Finally, the mini-chainsaw is much less powerful than its gas powered cousin. The low RPM and low power tends to discourage the use of the mini-chainsaw in plunge-cutting. So, the opportunities for generating a kickback situation are few and far between.

I know it says it's "auto lube", but I don't think that it is. There is a reservoir, and a plunger you need to push to feed oil to the chain. If you don't push the plunger, then no lubrication. Not sure I'm wanting a machine with one of these. Seems like there is a good chance that it starts leaking at some point. I don't own one, this has just been my experience, ymmv.
If it leaks, we simply don't fill the reservoir!

This one has auto lubrication. That other one, you have to apply the bar oil using that small bottle.
I like the Seesii a bit better with the 2 batteries vs. 1 and I prefer squirting oil on the chain/bar vs. an auto-oiler because auto-oilers tend to leak during storage.

The prodcut page for the Seesii says it's brushed, not brushless. Just an FYI.

This is more important for these generic saws.

I have a similar product and used it to trim my pittosporum shrub that had some pretty thick branches.
